OCG Organizational Structure

Our organizational structure is designed to provide the most support to all members, internal, and external initiatives through the project teams, the development team, and the business development team structure and roles.

Project Teams

Each team follows a similar structure that maximizes the support of all members.

  • On each project is 1 SM who is in charge of helping facilitate client and team interactions. Their most important role, however, is supporting their PM and committing to furthering the professional development of the consultants. Each SM has had at least 1-term experience as PM.

  • Each project has 1 PM that manages the project from start to finish. PM’s organize all client and team meetings, write action items for consultants, and ensure the project is on schedule.

  • Projects are staffed with 4 consultants. Consultants create value for projects through secondary and primary research to generate industry and firm insights. Consultants then analyze insights to evaluate the best next steps for the organization.

Development Team

The development team supports many cross-functional needs by organizing recruitment, socials, and an annual banquet while providing overall support to the development of all members.

  • The development project manager leads 1 internal project per term as well as overseeeing Fall and Spring recruitment.

  • Development consultants support internal project tasks, run Consultant of the Week and Job Placement programs, draft social media posts, and implement successful social events.

Business Development Team

The business development team spearheads all client acquisition through lead generation, developing long-term client relationships, outlining project details, and supporting project teams through kickoff meetings.

  • The Business Development Manager oversees the client portfolio and scoping process by identifying the consultant’s strengths and industries of interest.

  • Account Managers develop personal relationships with clients and clearly outline project goals and objectives in order to best support the project process.
